So says the teeshirt that comes with this outfit, and it's completely true. Whether you're the type of punk rocker who stomps around to the dulcet sounds of The Exploited, or you prefer to mosh to the Dead Kennedys, this is the perfect punk look for you.

It comes with four pairs of striped pants (blue, red, green, and grey), a leather jacket with all the prim bits you need, the Punk's Not Dead shirt, a studded belt, a dog collar with padlock, and a pair of boots for stomping around in.

Everything is modify and copy so you can resize things to fit your own avatar. The belt will size down quite a way (I checked!) so if you're way skinnier than I am, don't fret because this thing will probably fit you fine.

Snakes Alive!

The snake wranglers at Avatar Bizarre have been diligently and deftly talking several snakes out of their skins for the sole purpose of tailoring pants just for you! Available in six reptilian colors, each pair of pants includes the pant layer and the underpant layer, plus a set of pants cuffs to finish off that scaly leather look you're so yearning for as you read this.

In all seriousness, I wanted to create more casual fair for the store this year, as the majority of my items tend to be more historical or fantasy related. However, I didn't want to make just your Average Joe Jeans (not that there's anything wrong with that!). The Mad Hatter Gets a Makeover

Back when I first started Avatar Bizarre, I made a Mad Hatter outfit that was kind of loosely based on the costume worn by Johnny Depp in the Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland. It was one of my favorite outfits, and people seemed to really like it.

But like all things in Second Life, bits and bobs eventually have to be retired for being too old, or just not up to the quality that a person achieves when they have more experience in design and building.

I was loathe to retire this one, though. I still really liked the outfit, but it was just too dated to stay the way it was. So I redid all of the textures and quite a few of the prims and gave this puppy a total make over. I've also lowered the price quite a bit.

So now our friend, the Mad Hatter, has a nice sculpted hat, a pair of sculpted shoes, some really awesome stripey socks (!), and two pairs of pants (long and short). Heck, I'm totally stoked with the socks, because they're fairly seamless. You can't imagine the happy this gives me, but. . .

I simply ran out of juice to make more than three colors today, and apart from the blue, the purple, and the black, I will be releasing red, brown, and green in short order.

T-Shirts are one of those staple items that most people end up with in their inventories, particularly if you're a male avatar. They're reasonably cheap, they're easy, and most of the time they have something funny written on them. You really can't go wrong with such a thing.

This is why I've made twelve new designs for the upcoming year, and retiring about 20 older designs.

Of course, this means a massive t-shirt blow-out! All of the old designs are on sale for 75% off until January 1, 2012. That's roughly $L13 each.

Rebel Without a Lag

I went into an odd fit of "Gotta Make Something Leather"itis recently. I'm not sure where, why, when, or how this happened, as I generally make things more geared for the fantasy goth or Victorian Steampunk gentlemen out there, but there was this synaptic snap, and suddenly the brain made squeaky sounds as the gears turned.

Then it hit me. I already have a lot of clothing and stuff inspired by Johnny Depp characters, and unsurprisingly, he played a 50s bad boy named "Cry Baby Walker". Move aside, Arthur Fonzarelli. Take a hike, James Dean. Don't bug me, Marlon Brando. You guys were all wild ones but, for whatever reason, I appear to be inspired by the twisted mind of John Waters.

So along came this idea for the Fifties Rebel. It's a fairly generic rebel outfit; it's got the leather jacket with the cuffs, the collar, and the belt; it's got the jeans, in faded blue and in black, it's got the ubiquitous white teeshirt; and it's got a pair of manky old boots, as worn by Johnny Depp on any given day. He seems to favor the Thrift Store look, so why not introduce a bit of that into Second Life?

Ordinarily, this outfit would run $L425 or thereabouts, but on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I had this puppy on sale for 100L. It was a sort of Thank You to everyone for helping make 2011 a fantastic year for me.

If you missed the Rebel sale, don't fear. My real life birthday's coming up soon, and I celebrate that with an exclusive item you get to hunt for piece by piece. It will not be sold in the store, but it will be the same great quality you've come to expect from me.

A Bit of Hyperion for the Holiday

I found a suit in inventory that I had completely forgotten about. Evidently, it was to be some sort of hunt gift, but my CRS Syndrome kicked in, and now I can't remember which hunt it was for. Bugg'rit, as they say in Ankh-Morpork. I'm just going to make a few color variations and see how they do on the Marketplace.

The Hyperion Suit is more of a casual affair with a black turtleneck under a brightly colored velvet brocade smoking jacket. It's got matching pants, and a pair of knee-high boots.

You can find it on the Marketplace. I will likely release it inworld once I have all of the color variations made.

It might be perfect for a Christmas celebration. . .

I guess I've been in a bit of a tuxedo mood lately, as I've put out a number of different tuxedos for all of you formalwear fans. There are a ton of tuxedos available in Second Life, but Avatar Bizarre strives to be a little different in the world of menswear, what with the leather and the latex tuxedos that have recently surfaced in my little corner of the grid.

Some time ago, around Halloween, in fact -- there was a Classic Movie Monsters gridwide hunt. As I've always had a soft spot for the lowly vampire, I recreated the classic Bela Lugosi style tuxedo, complete with flowing black and red cloak. It was available as a hunt gift, and now it's finally back and available yet again.

No sparkly vampire, he.

This marvelous tuxedo has a rich black on black velvety brocade texture; subtle, yet noticeable. It includes everything you need to become a classic vampire; the tuxedo itself, the cloak, the shoes, the medallion on a red ribbon. . .

It's dramatic, dapper, and striking. Edward Cullen may be all the rage right now, but Bela will always be a classic.

Maxwell Demon - Travel Back to the Glam Era

Inspired by the Jonathon Rhys-Davies character, Maxwell Demon, in the movie Velvet Goldmine, this suit hearkens back to the early 70s when David Bowie introduced the world to an odd-eyed space creature named Ziggy Stardust.

Although Bowie did not approve of the script, and refused to allow his music to be used for the movie, the life of Brian Slade parallels eerily with the life of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust character - from his rise to stardom to his eventual fall and disappearance.

Available in six colors, the Leather Tux features a classic "white tie and tails" motif, most commonly worn by the likes of David Niven (remember him?), James Bond, and really old movie stars on the red carpet during the Academy Awards ceremony.

Twisted Krissmuss

The economy is pretty bad lately, but that doesn't mean the holidays have to suck. Enter our intrepid hero, Twisted Krissmuss. This is an annual event where a whole bunch of Twisted Hunt merchants are herded together like so many cats to produce awesome and exclusive items to be sold at a rather severe discount.

The rules of the game are basically "make something you would normally sell in your shop, and then sell a transferable version for 100L."

So, if you normally sell dresses that cost 1000L each, you must sell an exclusive dress worth 1000L for 100L. It's that simple, really.

Avatar Bizarre has created a pair of outfits for the occasion. One for the guys, and one for the girls. They are, essentially, the same suit. They are just sized for different genders to make things a little easier on you wonderful people.

Myrddin is, of course, named after Merlin of Arthurian fame. Each outfit sports a detailed blue Celtic pattern and includes everything listed in the photos.

Christmas Morning Suits

Once again, the holidays are pouncing on us like rabidly festive wolves. It's a time for families to get together, exchange loot, and return it all the next day for something a little less garish. Yes, my friends, it's time to suit yourself up for Festivus, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Yule, or whatever holiday makes you happy and full of pie.

Avatar Bizarre is happy to present a new line of Christmas Morning Suits. While each suit does come with a Santa hat, they are suitable (heh) for just about any occasion.

These suits are based loosely on the Edwardian Morning Suit, and made from a rich velvet texture. Each vibrantly colored suit comes with a satin waistcoat that sports a light holly leaf pattern, a silk shirt, plus all of the accessories, including a sporty pair of matching wingtip dress shoes.

Twisted Krissmuss Myrddin Suits

The holiday season is rapidly approaching and that means buying presents. Lots and lots of presents. There's a bit of a hitch in the plan, since the economy's hit everyone pretty hard lately, and that bring me to Twisted Krissmuss.

This annual tradition was set up by the same folks who inflict the Twisted Hunt on the grid twice a year. The basic premise involves collecting some of the best merchants in Second Life and asking each and every one to make a gift that they will sell for 100L. The only caveat is the gift or gifts must be Transfer, and the gift(s) must be the same quality as the rest of their products.

This means if a merchant makes big frilly 1000L gowns, then they must make a big frilly gown they'd normally sell for 1000L and put it out for sale at 100L. If a merchant makes amazing and expensive latex suits, then that merchant must submit an amazing and expensive latex suit, marked down to 100L. In other words, you're going to get some real deals this Holiday season.

There will be a blog to find out which stores are involved. There is also a flickr group. Stay tuned for those!

Meanwhile, I'd like to give you good folks a sneak preview of the outfits Avatar Bizarre has come up with for this sale.

Introducing "Myrddin". I've made a suit for the guys, and one for the girls. They are very similar, but have some very important differences. The women's version comes with a great stiletto heel shoe, a frilly flex cravat, and a skirt that should fit the average female avatar.

The male version comes with male shoes, a sculpted cravat, and should fit the average male avatar.

Both suits are Modify and Transfer. You can give them as gifts, or keep them for yourself. Once the season is ended, the new Myrddin colors will be released, and all suits will then be Modify/Copy, No Transfer.

The Eyes have it

I've always been fascinated by eyes. They are the windows to the soul, and in Second Life, they can be any color, and have any design you can imagine. Avatar Bizarre has always had a wide selection of eyes ranging from animal eyes to fantasy, fae, and beyond.

I've always just made regular eyes, with the exception of a few sets that contained prim eyes so people can have two different colored eyes if they want. However, there has been a demand for prim eyes of late so I've begun making some vibrant new sets.

Introducing the Lepidoptera Eyes. These eyes were inspired by the Butterflies of the world. The first two sets are the Monarch, and the Blue Morpho.

As you can see, each set contains a pair of full bright prim eyes, a pair of regular prim eyes, a pair of specular highlight prims, and a white sclera base. They are fully modify and copy, so if you want to make them bigger or smaller, or make them glow, you certainly can. I recommend with any modification you make on an item that you make a copy, just in case you make a mistake.

Silver and Gold Hunt Part Deux. . .

As promised, here's the female gift I'm putting out for the Silver and Gold Hunt, which starts in December. Once the hunt ends, this ensemble will be available for general sale in several striking colors. If you have a color preference, go ahead and comment, and I'll create the colors that appear to be the most popular.

Avatar Bizarre Sneak Preview - Sanctum Suit

The Christmas holiday season brings a metric ton of Christmas-themed hunts to Second Life. Though I chose to apply for the Candy Cane Hunt, which is one of the better holiday hunts out there, there are only so many red, white and green outfits you can stomach. This is why I enjoy being a part of the Silver and Gold Hunt.

This hunt is a holiday hunt with a twist; it's about friendship and sharing, rather than the same old Santa Claus thing you see everywhere else.

I've put together a couple of outfits for this hunt. The first one I'm going to preview for you folks is the men's hunt gift.

Introducing Sanctum, a quilted textured suit that includes a spiffy pair of riding boots.

After the hunt, I plan to release several other colors but for now, the hunt will provide this dark blue ensemble for the diligent hunter.

The female gift will be previewed here just as soon as I can get a photo. Stay tuned. . .

18th Century Military

The 1700s are alive and well in Second Life, and it would appear the military is ready to defend the sim!

Avatar Bizarre has always been at the forefront of Historic garb, so when I was approached to make another 18th Century Uniform, I seized the opportunity and ran with it. The 18th Century is a great inspiration for a clothing maker in Second Life and, even though there are only about three colors available in any 18th Century Uniform, there's enough variation to make these suits a lot of fun to recreate.

The Behr Infantry was one of the battalions that was in service to the British empire, and fought valiantly in the Seven Years War.

This suit (one of a few) was commissioned for a Brunswick sim and is as historically accurate as I could make it, given the limitations of Second Life building tools. Enjoy :)

A New Suit

Avatar Bizarre is happy to bring you several new suits and dresses for the His N' Hers collection. Currently, these outfits are available only on the Marketplace (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/29123). They will be available inworld on November 6.

Dogstar suits and gowns are available in six vibrant colors and are fully modify and copy so you can resize things to fit your own avatar. The clothing layers are modify so Furries are able to wear my clothes, as well.

The coat tails on the suit, and the skirt for the dress are lined in a complimentary satin color. The fabric, adorned with stars, has a unique fractal webbing pattern that adds a unique air to these outfits. The suit comes with a star-shaped collar clasp, and the dress comes with a star-shaped belly jewel.

Speaking of the dress, it can be worn as a traditional backless and strapless gown, or as modest silks. You can also wear the glitch pant without the skirt for a snappy clubbing outfit. The low hem on the pants gives a hint of what lies beneath.

As an aside, you can currently get the blue version of this suit and dress in the Boo-tiful Disasters Hunt, which ends on November 5. If you hurry, you can get it free! There is a hint on my hunt poster.

Haunted Forest Hunt Prize

Avatar Bizarre used to be in a lot of hunts. By a lot, I mean I was making hunt gifts for up to twelve hunts in a month at one point. It's enough to drive a person completely crazy, or would be if I wasn't already half out of my mind for owning a store in Second Life in the first place. Seriously, I love working in my store, and I love talking to people who visit. I've made a lot of friends from this venture. But there are times when things can get really hectic, like when you end up making twelve hunt gifts in a month while maintaining some semblance of a real life offline

You see, inspiration doesn't really work that way. Inspiration is like a cat; it never comes when you call it, but when it finally does make an appearance, it demands ALL of your attention.

That's when I made a resolution last New Year's Eve to be in three or fewer hunts per month. By and large, I have stuck to this resolution. It helps to be a bit pickier with regards to hunts. I no longer care to be in hunts with themes that require me to make a gift in some theme I would not ordinarily be all that interested in having as stock. Sorry, zombie folks. There's only so much blood and gore I can show on my walls, particularly since my store is on G-rated mainland. Hey, it's not as bad as it sounds. Really. I do enjoy The Walking Dead, and think Zombies are far more fun than vampires sometimes. It's just that I can't bring myself to sell bloody tattered jeans. I'll leave that to my friends at Little Britain.

All of this brings me to the Haunted Forest Hunt. This is a pay hunt, meaning the gifts are 1L each. This is still a bargain, considering you still receive high-quality gifts from each of the stores. Avatar Bizarre is no exception. I will not make anything for a hunt that I would not sell in my store. Giving "freebie" items or stuff I already have on my walls is strictly against my code of ethics, not to mention most hunt organizers rules. I promise I will never do a hunt if they allow a merchant to simply take something from stock and give it away in a hunt. That's just not right. But I digress. . .

The Haunted Forest Hunt sparks the imagination, and many shops are giving away some pretty neat items.

The item you will find in Avatar Bizarre is called "Ghost Leopard", which will be available in several colors once the hunt ends at the end of November. The item for the hunt is in natural colors, and is a fully modifiable outfit. It works for both men and women, though I have to be honest girls: The suit was put together on my avatar, so you will need to do some heavy modifying to make this one fit you. Sorry about that. I simply ran out of time to make a female only outfit, or even a smaller version of the suit now available for the girls. Forgive me? I hope so. At 1L it is still a steal!

Gender Bending for a Cause

An IM was sent my way a while back from a friend I hadn't seen online in I don't know how many months. I used to work with her at a club; she was my host, and I was the DJ. We spent a lot of time chatting about nothing in particular back in the day and, as happens with a lot of clubs, this establishment disappeared and we lost touch for a while.

This all changed as she came blazing back and asked me what I was up to. After explaining that I was making clothes when I wasn't off playing Mr. DJ, she asked me if I made silks. She isn't the only woman who has turned up asking me to make women's clothing, silks in particular. I told her I'd take it under consideration, but since there are about ninety-eleven thousand other merchants making and selling silks out there, I didn't know if I was really that interested in this project.

She persisted. I caved. Thus was created four sets of silks I like to call the "Rococo" series.

Rococo Silks are available in four beautiful color variations and include the bra and panties on all clothing layers. There are two bottom silks you can wear - a stomach attachment, or a pelvis attachment, depending on your preference. The silks on the legs, arms, and bottom all sport pearls and opal designs. Of course, as with all of my stuff, the pieces are all modify and copy.

As time and motivation permit, I will be adding more women's clothes to my line. Not to fear, guys, I'm still making menswear my primary focus. Well that, and Elder Gods.

Greetings and Salivations my Droogs and Devotchkas.

I have been lax in my duty as your faithful blogger of all things Avatar Bizarre, and for that I apologize. Things get a little hectic from time to time and blogs can sometimes fall out of view when you're working on the larger picture. However, that's all going to change in the coming months. I have a lot of exciting new things to share with you guys including hunts, sales, new releases, monsters, and more!

Avatar Bizarre has been going through some changes in the last couple of months. One of the things people will notice is I am delving into the scary and crazy realm of female clothing. Not to worry, guys, Avatar Bizarre is still mostly for guys but I can no longer ignore all of the IMs from women asking me to make clothing for them!

As a result, most of the hunts I am doing will now include a male and a female gift, unless I get just plain lazy or overwhelmed, then you'll have to make do with the "unisex" gifts I make, ladies. You will also find a section up by the human cannon called "His N' Hers". This part of the store caters to the male/female couples out there who want to match outfits. Of course, you can buy the outfits separately, even if you don't feel like being a matched set. You will also find a few odds and ends for girls including silks, a sexy nurse outfit, and other things as I get inspired to make them.

There's another fun little change at the store; it's now a great place to hang out and have fun. There are mushrooms in the main foyer where you can sit and chat with friends, a beach ball you can balance on, hopscotch, places to hang out, and a meeroo to cuddle with if you have the HUD. Don't miss out on the human cannon. It's great fun! I also have Tormented Radio playing, so if you feel like dancing or just listening to music, be my guest. On occasion, you may see my friends Camera Parx and JohnnyD Serpente modeling clothes - er, well. . .dancing, anyway. Most of the time they're AFK, cuddling in real life, but if they see you they'll say "Hi". Don't be freaked out!

I've also been trying to update the midnight mania and the mobvend more often, but I can't really guarantee I'll remember all the time :)

Oh, and before I forget, there is a Christmas Gacha up at the store now. All items are 15L and transfer, so you can trade, keep, or whatever you want. There's both male and female items in there, mostly full suits and outfits. There's also a limited edition candy cane Cthulhu shoulder pet, so get him while he's hot.

Oh and before I forget, I do have one mesh shirt available for really cheap right now. I don't really want to make more just yet, as many people still aren't using mesh-enabled viewers. The shirt is on the NEW board, and costs 50L.

Here's another sneak preview of an exclusive item at the Vintage Fair this year.

The Vintage Dive Suit was originally worn by early 1900s ocean explorers. Generally one color, this reproduction is a bit more sporty in khaki and dark brown, and includes a sculpted helmet. The sculpt is courtesy of Alia Whitfield.

Not shown, but included with the package is a sculpted collar that is worn when you don't have on the helmet.

October was a busy month, what with participating in three hunts, DJing in various places, and scrambling to get new releases out.

The latest is the His N' Hers collection, which features King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

The cool thing is Avatar Bizarre was invited to participate in the Vintage Fair this year. There will be a few exclusive fair items including a pink Marie Antoinette gown and a red Marie Antoinette gown. There is also a way cool Vintage Dive suit.

Wow, it has been a while since I've updated this blog! Things have been very busy of late, and I've been feverishly creating new outfits for hunts, as well as for general release.

September is always a busy month because The Twisted Hunt and the Steam Hunt both start on the 1st. I look forward to the Twisted Hunt, especially, as I help sponsor the hunt, and it gives me license to be evil. Oh, so evil. The Steam Hunt simply gives me more reasons to make more Steampunk outfits.

With that said, there have been a number of new releases since I last updated here. The most recent is a Victorian-style suit that includes a very nifty pendant. I call it the Steampunk Regent Suit, and as of this writing, it is available in five colors. Once I get a bit more time, I will add that coveted sixth color to the mix.

Avatar Bizarre has been around for a while now, and is firmly established in several locations. As profiles give you only so much space to type things out, I thought I'd provide a handy little F.A.Q. for you all.

Who do I contact?

How do I contact you?
The best way is through an IM. I receive all IMs in email if I am not online. Second best way is through a notecard. Messages can cap and sometimes notecards do get lost, so it's always best to send an IM along with that notecard. Please give your notecard a title. "New Note" is awfully difficult to find sometimes.

How long should I wait for a response?
I live and work in California. This means I am generally not in Second Life or near a computer until late afternoon during the week. Please give me at least 8 hours to respond, particularly if you're in a different time zone. I check my email before work in the morning, and again when I get home. All issues are resolved as quickly as possible.

Is there another way to contact you?
My Second Life email address is ferrethunter at gmail dot com. This is where all offlines go.

Do you give refunds?
Generally not, though there are extenuating circumstances. The best thing to do is to contact me and let me know your situation.

Do you want to rent a location in my mall?
Please don't ask. I have three locations; Burmilla (main store), Cala Mondrago sim, and Dark Eternity sim. If I want a new location, I will contact you first.

I can't afford much. Will you sell your things cheaper to me?
I've set things up so that there is a range of prices and styles in my inventory. I will not lower my prices just because you can't afford them, mainly because I already have my items priced fairly low.

What about sales?
Avatar Bizarre is usually a part of the Steals and Deals gridwide sale, so selected items each week will be set to 50% off. You can join my subscribe-o-matic group for regular sale updates.

How do I join your group?
There is a Subscribe-o-Matic board at the front of the store next to the Midnight Mania boards. I send out weekly announcements, including when and where I DJ (which is infrequent). If you want to join my DJ group, point your browser to http://world.secondlife.com/group/0440f3b9-fce2-23d1-c865-364988b0b052. Membership is free. I do not spam, nor do I do mass teleports.

How often do you put out new releases?
This depends on how inspired I am, but the answer is "A lot". Second Life inventory is dynamic, and there's no reason my store inventory should be any different.

What is Maggs Taggs?
Maggs Taggs, owned by Maggie Demonge, is my sole tenant. I gave her shop space because she was having difficulties renting, as malls kept shutting down or selling the sim out from under her. She is a talented tattoo artist and clothing maker. As her inventory is solely her responsibility, please contact her if you have any questions, comments, or issues with her store.

Are you interested in being in a hunt?
That depends. For a while there I was in a lot of hunts. I am now being more discriminate and try to pick hunts with special themes. I also tend to be in hunts by seasoned and well-known organizers. If you think I'd be interested in your hunt, send me the application and a blog link, and I'll consider it.

Can I talk to you if I see you in the store?
Yes, absolutely. If you have feedback, I appreciate it.

Why do you make your hunt items so hard to find?
Part of it is I spend a lot of time and care making high quality gifts. A hunt is just that; a hunt. This means you get to look for the item. That said, I always provide hints on the hunt posters, and try not to make the hint so esoteric that you can't figure it out on your own. I rarely move the object, but if I catch people shouting out locations or I find people teleporting directly to the item, I will move it and update the hint.

Do you ban people from your store?
Generally not, though there are exceptions to every rule.

Do you do custom work?
Yes. I require a deposit on all custom work (generally around 50%).

What are the permissions on your items?
Clothing is always Modify/Copy, No Transfer.
Shoulder pets are transfer only.
Eyes are copy only.
I do make a point of putting permissions on all vendor boards.

What if the permissions are different on the item I've purchased?
Please, let me know, because I will fix the error and replace what you have purchased. Second Life glitches and lack of sleep while making stuff can sometimes yield the wrong permissions on things, and I appreciate people letting me know. My only rule of thumb is all clothing wearables should be Modify/Copy.

Do you use resize scripts?
No. Never have, never will. They don't really work, and can be more frustrating than they are worth.

Do you need models?
Not really. Thanks for asking though.

I have a blog. Can you send me free stuff?
I've been burned by this in the past, so I will be very careful who I send blog packs to in future. Short answer: No.

Will you model your clothing/Avatars?
Yes. If I have time, I'd be happy to model stuff for you. This goes for bloggers as well.

One of the African Colonial French Armies was known as the Spahi Cavalry. They were a common sight on the roads of Northern France, and fought alongside infantrymen in the trenches.

The Sherwani is a long, coat-like garment worn in South-East Asia and India, particularly in North India. It's usually worn over a short Kurta and Khara Pajama Pants.

Like every poor working drudge, he only wants to spend time with his family and friends on the holiday, but without even getting paid overtime, he's stuck at the office crunching numbers.

Scabrous Vermicelli is a real life costume a friend of mine built several years ago, and gave me permission to recreate it in Second Life! I did end up taking a bit of artistic license, since I'm still not very good at Sculpties, and mesh is still in beta. I had to torture a lot of prims for this little guy.

Here's the original costume:Scab Flickr.

The dragon stands about 7'2" tall in his boots, and has an Avatar Rendering Cost of about 1183, which is less than a lot of ARC found in avatars with flex hair and skirts. The prim count is somewhere around 493.

The armor and the head pieces are copy/modify so you can wear them with any avatar. However, there is a shape and a skin to go with this ensemble, and the prim pieces are sized to fit for an out of the box ready to go experience!

What you see is what you get:
Head - in five pieces
- Ears and horns, Face, lower jaw, head with hair.
Armor - Chest, Shoulders, Upper arms, Forearms, claws, Back plate, thigh armor, codpiece with tail attached, upper leg armor, shin guards and boots.
All in all, there are 27 different pieces, plus a boot base, shin and shape. The eyes are set to glow under the midnight setting.

Vampyre Suits in four exciting colors!

Once again, I jump into the fray with four new suits. Vampyre Gothic includes finely stitched detail on the sleeves, collar, cuffs and tails. The shoes are polished to a high sheen. There is a special array of jewels accenting the beltline and the collar. The Ankh, the symbol for Life, sits at the throat, a shining beacon to immortality.

Vampyre Gothic is available in Royal purple, Wine red, Dusk blue, and Pewter.
Available at my main location in Burmilla, and currently Royal is available on the Marketplace. The other three colors should be available on the Marketplace soon.

Each suit comes with everything shown in the picture, except for the model, of course. I've been known to sell myself short from time to time, but I've never outright sold myself!

Majorca. . .Spanish Sims and Colonialism

I was approached a couple of weeks ago and was asked to make a few 18th century Spanish suits, as well as a number of American Naval Uniforms from the era. Included in this array of military finery:

All of these uniforms include what you see in the photos.

The sim owner was really happy to see so many uniforms being made, but she lamented the fact that the Spanish Officer Uniform above this one wasn't black and red. So I made the Nobleman. I'm a softy.

This one isn't strictly 18th century. It's a bit earlier, having come straight out of the late 1600's, but what are you gonna do? Those Spaniards were snappy dressers.

Here we come to America and its sea-faring Military types. Uniforms were traditionally reserved for officers. Cannon Fodder, or what we'd call The Fighting Men, were lucky to have a coat to wear, let alone anything that resembled a uniform.

Colorful, aren't they? You can bet your life that the guys in these uniforms didn't do much of the dirty work.

You may not celebrate the Holiday of Gluttony in November if you aren't in the United States, but Cthulhu commands you fill his Cornucopia of Evil with delectable morsels, preferably human. Eyeballs are particularly succulent this time of year.

Avatar Bizarre is lucky enough to have captured another holiday Cthulhu, house-trained, and guaranteed to be insidious. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you:

He traveled on the Mayflower, eating random pilgrims even before they could land on American soil. It's possible he figured out the white man was going to hunt down and eradicate the Native Americans, but it's more likely he just enjoyed a bit of Continental Breakfast.

The life of a tailor can be difficult, at times. There are those long nights where you sit under a dim lamp stitching things, and you jab yourself with the needle repeatedly. I think my left thumb has become a pincushion! I'm sure if I drink a glass of water, it will all spring forth from the end of my thumb, like it was spilling from the spout of a watering can. It's too bad I have a black thumb, or I'd keep plants in my shop.
Keeping plants alive is just not possible, with one exception. For twenty years, I owned a Split Leaf Rhodedendron named "Stupid". I called it that because for twenty years it only had one leaf, and that leaf never split. It finally died of shame one day.

But I digest. . .

There is a lot on my plate at the moment. Before I traveled to far off lands to Sound Smith at the Illustrious Society Club, I had several suits to finish.

They are now available in my New Babbage Shoppe.

They are a bit more elaborately colored than your typical Victorian fare, but a little color is good for the soul.

All include a spectacular chain and jewelled belt, and finely tailored and lined jacket. Just a heads up for those who would like to head out to Miskatonic University today, starting at 12pm SLT:
It's a SIM RESTART PARTY!
I'm going to start things off with a two hour dance in the Atrium of the University. Avatar Bizarre is giving out a free Duke Windsor style suit for the occasion, and we'll be dancing to some awesome songs from the likes of Trees, Love and Rockets, Gary Numan, Nuvo West, Oingo Boingo, The Limousines, David Bowie, Cliff Richard, Danielle Dax, Oingo Boingo, and a whole lot more.
We're going to feature some rather. . .explosive entertainment during this event, so pyromaniacs and bomb defusers are welcome! I'm hoping Mr. Tesla's Earthquake Machine will shake us to our very foundation.

Niven Tuxedo

David Niven was suave and debonair, and almost always found in a tuxedo. This is why Avatar Bizarre has chosen to pay homage to the late, great British actor in naming its latest release after the guy.

This tuxedo has classic lines with a short jacket and long tails. The jacket is set off nicely with a white waistcoat, and a red rose boutonniere on the high collar. The jacket cuffs and pants hems are sculpted for a nice finished look.

Avatar Bizarre proudly presents the first in a new line of Japanese Hakama Pants. These are traditionally worn by men, but women will look great in these too!

The Hakama can be worn under a kimono, with a shirt, sans shirt, or on your head. Okay, just kidding about the head part. They are versatile; great for combat, dancing, or just lounging around the grid with your sword hanging out.

Arkham Sim Restart Party!

I know I'm posting this incredibly early, but I just wanted to give a heads up about the Arkham sim!

We're going to be building more and better RP for you folks, should you dare to try it out. We're redoing things a bit, and kicking the whole thing off with a Sim Restart Party on Saturday, September 25 from 12pm - 2pm slt at Miskatonic University.

What does this mean, exactly?

Things will be blown up! There will be chaos! We will find monsters! And through it all, I'll be spinning some excellent tunes for you to dance to including some very awesome New Wave, a slew of Goth, a smidgen of EBM, a dash of Industrial, a peck of Dance, and a small jar of Punk for your discerning ears.

But that isn't all. I have a song collection big enough to drown a pod of whales in, and it's yours for the requesting. Want something esoteric? Heck, why not? Want a favorite? No problem.

Bonnie Knees – A Word on the Kilt

The Bonnie Knees Contest is a real life event, where you line up a few kilted men and allow blindfolded women fondle the legs to determine who has the nicest knees. One of these days I may suggest such a contest to someone inworld just to see what would happen. There’s also a truism about the kilt; if you wear one you will always be asked if you’re wearing anything underneath it. This is, perhaps, why the contest always goes over well with the ladies.

The kilt has risen in popularity on the Grid over the past year or two. In the “old days” it was difficult to find a decent kilt and, in fact, the available kilts either did not have a real clan tartan associated with them, or the price was high enough to make any good Scot catch his breath and beat himself over the head with a rogue Haggis. Now you can get an inexpensive kilt in any tartan you wish.

If you aren’t aware, there are a few different types of kilt now available on the Grid: The Great Kilt, usually sold with boots and a sash; the Little Kilt, or Feile-beag, which is usually sold as a part of a formal outfit; and the Utilikilt, the kilt’s answer to Cargo pants.

Traditionally, the Great Kilt was nine to twelve yards of wool, laid on the ground, pleated into a more manageable 2 yards long, and belted at the waist. The excess fabric was slung over the shoulder and pinned to create a Sett, a kind of cape/sash. Commonly worn for warmth in the Highlands, it also doubled as a blanket while sleeping. Speaking practically for Second Life, however, adding that many prims to a kilt would be cumbersome, at best; so you commonly see a Great Kilt as a simple kilt with a sculpted sash for the shoulder.

The Little Kilt is a little easier to find on the grid, and is commonly sold with a Prince Charlie Tuxedo-style jacket, waistcoat, and tie. If there is a Sett, it is a separate piece pinned to the shoulder. There may or may not be a “black knife”, or sgian dubh (pronounced “Skin Doo”) hidden in one of the socks.

The Utilikilt, relatively new on the Grid, is a very simple kilt, often made from canvas, denim, or leather. It should have pockets and a utility-style belt for carrying your tools. Worn by men and women alike in the real world, this kilt is rapidly gaining in popularity inworld.

The tradition of going commando under a kilt stems from the fact that Scottish men in the British army were poorly paid, and could not afford underpants. Now it is a tradition of a proud people not to wear anything under the kilt, unless they plan to go dancing, or end up in a place with high winds.

So get Regimental, my friends, and don’t forget to allow a bit of knee fondling.

The League of Evil Geniuses wants YOU!

This is the latest in Avatar Bizarre's ~~plot to take over the world~~ Steampunk Heroes and Villains outfits. As you can see, everything about this ensemble is evil; from the bottle of noxious green, possibly toxic substance on the top hat, to the tips of the grimy leather work boots on the feet.

The Ray Gun is a working weapon of mass destruction, and will push as it zaps your victim. You'll cackle evilly as the balls of electricity PEW PEW from the end of the gun barrel.

The evil spectacles shade your beady evil little eyes in tones of blue, while the leather duster coat covers you like cow skin armor. If that wasn't enough, the coat has sculpted cuffs, a sculpted collar with an evil cape, and a sculpted belt (open and unbuckled, to let the Evil loose). The gloves conceal your fingerprints, and the sculpted pants cuffs may conceal your plans for World Domination.

Dirk Dastardly may have been a wicked villain, out to tie defenseless heroines to railroad tracks, but the real mastermind behind All That Is Evil in the Steampunk World is Doctor Calgori. His Monocle affords him xray vision for ease of cheating at Poker (and, well, somewhat lewd activities involving girls), a pair of scripted color-change goggles (for night vision), a dashing great coat with or without the cape, his bag of evil no-goodnik widgets, and that slightly Not Evil fashion sense that helps him sneak into High Society.

Other costumes in the series: Herr Drosselmeyer, Aether Pilot, Sky Captain, and the Mad Alchemist. Soon to come. . .it's a bit of a mystery, but stay tuned.

Steampunk Heroes and Villains

Watch out for this guy. The Mad Alchemist carries a bandoleer holding several bottles filled with liquids of unknown origin, but rumor has it the green stuff can eat through metal. He's well armed with a leg dagger and an arm dagger, and his mirrored goggles may harbor secret widgets and capabilities.

This suit comes with everything seen in the photo, and is copy/modify, but no transfer. Currently located in the "New" section at Avatar Bizarre, this outfit is part of a growing line of Steampunk Heroes and Villains.

You'll be going in the right direction with this ensemble: The Sioux White Buffalo outfit. The ancient symbol of the four directions adorns the loin cloth, which can be worn with or without the pants, depending on how sexy you want to be for that special club event.

The flexi eagle feathers were plucked from only the finest Wild Ahern Eagles of Linden Land, and will prove to the world that you're privileged enough to have them. The arm and leg bands are modifiable, just in case my legs are skinnier than yours.

Oh, and ladies? There's a top that comes with this outfit. Guys, you don't have to wear it if you don't want to. I know there are some Ed Wood types out there, so knock yourselves out if you love to sport a bra :)

Upcoming Hunt!

Y'know, it's a tadbit early to be talking about the Out of this World Hunt, but I'm a huge Science Fiction geek, love the Area 54 Conspiracy theories, think aliens are pretty damned cool, and really wanted an excuse to make something Bowie-esque.

After all, David Bowie and aliens go hand-in-hand.

Second Life needs a huge injection of glam, and Ziggy Stardust is just the guy to do it. I have no idea what the hunt object will be just yet, but when you find this bad boy, you'll be playing guitar left handed with Weird and Gilly, and the Spiders From Mars.

The really cool part of all this is once you find that hunt gift, there's a pair of Bowie eyes you can buy for a mere $L50!

That's right. You, too, can have that freshly punched in the left eye by your best mate from Bristol look with one normal blue eye, and one very dilated greenish brown eye. Not only will you be the belle (or handsome prince?) of the ball, but you'll be other-worldly while you're at it.

The Ziggy suit comes with shiny red platform boots. At some point, when I get really good at making skins, the requisite Ziggy skin will be offered.

VOODOO! at Avatar Bizarre

No one knows the Voodoo that you do so well! A little zombie told me that there was a need for a Voodoo Priest in Second Life. After a thorough search through my best friend Google, I found that Voodoo Priests vary widely in style and shape. This costume was forged with a lot of creative license, sculpted prims, flexi prims, and probably some virtual duct tape and bailing wire.

The costume itself is nearly all prims that can be resized as needed, though there is a cool studded leather thong underpant, for a little extra virtual comfort.

The loin cloth features a snazzy reptile tail, the sharpened rib bones of wild Lindens, and the sun-baked skull of their next CEO. Don't worry, the guy is like a hydra and keeps growing new heads, making this costume really easy to put together. For added anonymity and awesomesauce, the mask has been painstakingly carved from tanned hides of BP executives, and cured in salt vinegar for that extra chips flavor we all crave so much.

My model will be showing off the costume until who knows when, so come see it LIVE and in Memorex while you still can!

The more people who show up, the more the price drops, until the item reaches its "Best Price". This can go pretty low, depending on the settings.

This outfit is a part of the gift from Avatar Bizarre for the Virtues of Sin hunt. We had a choice of virtues or sins for inspiration, and I was given Pride.

When you have pride in your appearance, you stand up taller, feel better, and look really good.
Pride can also mean you only see yourself, and this was the inspiration behind the eyes in the hunt gift. "Pride" reflects your own eyes in the pupil. You can see only yourself, and you love it!

It's been a busy week for Avatar Bizarre. Not only do I have a couple of new tuxedos available, but I'm about to put out a very inexpensive outfit for people who want to geek out at the next 80s event.

Do you remember DEVO? The suit and Energy Dome are going to be made available for sale on Xstreet this afternoon for a very low price as a thank you to those who have been patronizing my shop and want something fun for 80s night.

The Steampunk Cogniteer comes with everything shown, including the scultped shoes and a spinning gear jabot. All of the prim pieces are copy and modify so you can resize them to fit your own avatar.
